The silk flute swabs are great for any level of flutist. They are soft enough for polishing the instrument and absorbent enough to soak up moisture when swabbing the inside of the instrument. Simply thread through the end of any cleaning rod.

The Qualities of Silk

All Hodge silk swabs are made from 100% silk and come in performers black, royal blue, burgundy, forest green, and deep purple. Silk is very absorbent, soaking up water in instruments better than many other natural materials, including cotton and chamois. Silk is also very compressible, making it possible to pull through instruments with large variations in bore size.
